What is the psychological support of the Repower program?

Our project has no analogues in the world, so we are the creators of a unique program for the rehabilitation of active military medics in war conditions. We, the founders of Repower, are event organizers and have various higher educations, but not in psychology. Therefore, to form the psychological component of our program for the rehabilitation of military medics, we involved representatives of the "Free Choice" public organization.
They have been working with war experience since 2015, providing free individual and group psychological support to servicemen, veterans, their family members, and family members of prisoners of war and the dead.
Educational course

This course includes theoretical knowledge and practical skills regarding: understanding of psychological trauma, psychological first aid, regulation of anxiety and other psycho-emotional reactions, as well as methods of recovery after mild traumatic brain injury. Each topic is selected depending on the dynamics of the group and the program of the day, and the sequence of these topics is verified by a large number of implemented projects.

Group and individual therapies
Also, an important component of the psychological program of our projects is group and individual therapy, which are intended for reflection of the experience during the day directly during the project or during the service. It is also important that after our project, medics know stabilization techniques in order to help themselves or their colleagues in a crisis. Therefore, during classes, we introduce participants to self-regulation techniques. It was our colleagues from "Free Choice" who created a popular mobile application for veterans and we recommend it to everyone - "Baza" baza.ukraine.app.

Morning practices
Physical brain activation: Neurogymnastics includes exercises to activate both hemispheres of the brain, helping to improve cognitive function, concentration, and coordination. This is especially important for military personnel who are constantly in stressful situations and need to make quick decisions.
Stress reduction and emotional regulation: Qigong is an effective method for reducing stress, regulating emotions, and increasing self-control. These practices help you relax, restore inner balance, and reduce anxiety levels.

Focus on the present moment: Mindfulness practices help to focus on the present moment, which reduces the risk of over-immersing yourself in negative thoughts or memories. This helps improve mental health and reduces the risk of developing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
As of April 2025, we have already implemented 8 projects with the NGO "Free Choice" and continue our cooperation. We suggest reading the organization's feedback in the letter of recommendation below.
